Chris Clarkson

Chris Clarkson is a seasoned energy trader with nearly two decades of experience across global commodity and financial markets. He currently serves as Global Head of Gasoline Trading at Gunvor, a position he has held since 2021, and is also a member of the Management Board.

Prior to joining Gunvor, Mr. Clarkson spent eight years at Trafigura in Geneva, first as a gasoline trader and later as Global Head of Gasoline. He began his career as an analyst at Merrill Lynch in New York in 2007, and went on to physical trading roles in naphtha in New York and Geneva, then into gasoline trading businesses across the U.S. and Europe.

Mr. Clarkson holds a degree in economics with a minor in mathematics from Hamilton College.
